Looking for a new fitness program? How about trying the Presidential Fitness Challenge. This challenge comes in three varieties:

1. The Active Lifestyle Program - For those of you who aren't active on a daily basis yet, this is a great way to begin. The rules are basically to get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week, for a total of 6 weeks.

2. The Presidential Champions Program - If you're already active and want a new challenge, this program is for you. Your goal is to see how many points you can earn by staying active. Points are based on the amount of energy each activity burns. So the more active you are, the more points you'll get. When you reach 20,000 points, you'll earn a Bronze award. Then you can continue on in the Presidential Champions program for a Silver or Gold award.

3. The Advanced Performance Presidential Champions Program - This is basically the same system as the Presidential Champions Program, except that the award goals are higher. For instance, you need to get 40,000 points to earn a Bronze award.

The Presidential Champions Fitness Program Website (where you can log your progress and also order your awards when you've reached your goal)

Also, if you want, come join the LJ pres_challenge community to chat with others who are challenging themselves with this program.

Hi everyone!
I'm new here - found your community by doing a search for Denise Austin. I discovered her by flipping through the channels one morning and found her workout. That was 4 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I have a few of her workout tapes and love them as much as the show. I was very excited to find that there was a community like this!

Hey!

I'm thinking about buying a new exercise thingy.. (Yes, I am great with words :p)

And I was wondering, would this be a good decision? The exercise it gives resembles skiing, and after what I can see, it trains both upper and lower body.

If it's not a good choice, what is?
My problem areas are thighs, ass and stomach.

i just happend to run across your community and thought i'd give it a try. my best friend's wedding is in sept and it's the perfect thing to motivate me to finally get into shape. i went online and found a Denise Austin video called "ultimate fat burner". does anyone know if this video is decent? i work out to her beginer Pilates tape ever so often and i love her.

i really suck at motivating myself, so hopefully a community will help me. i'd like to keep a 2000 calorie diet since at the gym i used to go to my personal trainer said as long as i keep active that should be good. i just think these people who starve themselves aren't doing their bodies any good. hopefully with moderation and excersise i'll be just fine. my goal in the end is 30-40 lbs which in all isn't bad, but i'm also looking for a lifestyle change, which is a little more difficult.

i'm up for anyone's suggestions. i'm on a very limited budget so keep that in mind with your tips. free ones are alway welcome! :p

Hi..
I just recently started looking into Denise Austin's workouts. I've heard lots of good things about her and I'm interested in trying it out.
I'm new to working out and I was wondering what videos of hers you would recommend for a beginner?
My workout and fitness experience is limited, but I would really like to shed some pounds. Any suggestions?
thanks. :)

9:54 pm - Hello All!

truant
Hi Everyone,
I just joined the community and I am so excited to find this.
I am 24 years old and recently had a baby boy, in May of 2003. I have 15 pounds left to lose of my pregnancy weight and I have been doing Denise's two morning shows every morning for the last two weeks.
When I was 19-20, I did her two shows every morning for somewhere around 6 months and I got into great shape, so I am dedicating myself to acheiving my weight loss goal again.
I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's goals.

abrandnewgirl Hi!

Welcome to Burning Butter!

You may be asking yourself " What does Burning Butter mean?" Right! Well if you are doing any of Denise Austin workout's you already know the anwser to that! But, if your not then "Burning Butter" is Denise Austin's personal way of saying your burning "fat and calories"!

I started this community hoping to meet others that are doing Denise Austin workout's and also for people that are looking to get in to shape and don't know where to start! Well this is the place for you! If this sounds interesting please feel free to join the Club! We'd love to have you!

I haven't been doing Denise's workouts for very long myself. But, she's had me hooked ever since that morning I was flipping through the channels and came across her show on Lifetime TV! Her positive attitude will grab your attention, she will keep you moving and you'll feel great about yourself during your workout and ever better afterwards!
Just Try It!
